 John
Morris has been General Manager of WSWI, aka The Edge
since August 1999. As General Manager, John oversees all
operations of the radio station, as well as assuring FCC
compliance. Before becoming General Manager, John was
Sports Director for WSWI;
He did play-by play of men's and women's basketball,
soccer, baseball, and softball. In all, he broadcasted
over 800 events. John also broadcasted two National
Championship basketball games.
John also
teaches classes within the Radio/TV discipline. Classes
he teaches include Radio Production, Radio/TV
Performance, Writing for Broadcast Media, and
Sportscasting.
John received
a Bachelors degree in Broadcasting from the University
of Wyoming in 1986 and a Master's Degree in Human
Resources Development from Indiana State University
in1998. He is a member of the Broadcaster Educators
Association and the American Sportscasters Association.
John has also
worked at radio stations in northern Indiana, Missouri,
and Idaho. He has worked in news, sports, sales, and
production.
