General Contest Rules

These general contest rules apply to all on-air contests conducted by The Edge unless otherwise specified. Additional rules may be applied to individual contests. Such rules will be announced on air.

Generally, contests are open to anyone in the The Edge listening area except for employees of The Edge and those employees’ immediate family members and/or household members. “Immediate family members” shall mean their parents, step-parents, children, step-children, siblings, step-siblings or spouses. "Household members" of employees shall mean people who share the employee's residence at least four months a year. Anyone who has won any prize, of any value, from The Edge in the last 30 days, shall not be eligible to enter or win another The Edge contest until the 30 days have passed. Other age and eligibility restrictions may apply to individual contests. Failure to pick up the prize within two weeks of winning will result in a forfeit of the prize.

Entry forms and contest materials remain the property of The Edge. Odds of winning depend upon the number of calls or entries during any particular contest. The Edge is not responsible for problems with phone, fax, mail or internet entries, such as busy lines, disconnections or telephone malfunctions; failed, partial or garbled computer transmissions, or technical failures of any kind, including but not limited to electronic malfunction or damage of any network, hardware or software.

Contest winners are required to present student id or other form of identification and to claim prize within time period specified by The Edge. The Edge reserves the right to pick an alternate winner if these conditions are not satisfied. Prizes may not be transferred or substituted for other prizes except at the discretion of The Edge.

By entering contests, entrants agree to be bound by contest rules and by decisions of The Edge as to all contest-related matters. In addition, by participating in a The Edge contest and by accepting any prize that they may win, entrants agree to release The Edge and each of their respective officers, directors, agents, representatives and employees (collectively, the "Released Parties") from any and all actions, claims, injury, loss or damage arising in any manner, directly or indirectly, from participation in the contest and/or acceptance or use of the prize. Entrants also authorize The Edge to use their name, voice, likeness, biographical data and city and state of residence in programming or promotional material or on a winner's list without further compensation unless prohibited by law. All claims are subject to verification by The Edge, whose decisions are final as to all contest-related matters.

The Edge contests are void where prohibited. No purchase is necessary. All federal, state and local laws and regulations apply.
